Who We Are

We are a boutique financial advisory firm based out of Bangalore. Our name “Akshitara” – a Sanskrit (an ancient Indo-Aryan language) word meaning pupil of the eye, truly represents what we at Akshitara aim to achieve. As the pupil of the eye helps in transmitting the right amount of light to the retina to offer perfect vision, our endeavour is to help our clients clearly foresee their corporate financial needs.

Our services range from financial advisory, debt/equity planning, financial budgeting, project planning and family office services of our corporate client. We strive to work as an extended arm of the finance team of our clients by helping them plan/manage their financial requirements/goals.

Our Team

Akash Prasad
(Managing Partner)

Prior to starting Akshitara Consulting LLP, Akash was Group President and National Head, Corporate Finance Urban Infra Banking Group, YES Bank. With core expertise in the Real Estate, Healthcare, Hospitality and Education domains, Akash successfully managed relationships with industry stalwarts in these respective spaces for the bank. He was instrumental in the creation of key innovative structured finance products for clients in these domains.

He also handled the Corporate Banking relationship for West and South for the bank and Corporate Finance Infrastructure Banking Group for a while. Akash was responsible for setting up and successfully managing the International Corporate Banking/ Corporate Finance business for the bank in the Middle East.

Prior to joining YES Bank, Akash was with ICICI Bank Ltd in its Corporate Banking Group in Chennai, managing clients dealing in the cement, automobile, auto ancillary, manufacturing and trading space.

He started his career with IndusInd Bank in April 2001 as a Management Trainee and moved on to the Corporate Banking vertical of the bank in Delhi after successfully completing the Management Trainee program in Hyderabad and Delhi covering the entire gamut of Banking including Retail Banking, Transaction Banking, Wholesale Banking, Cash Management Services, Treasury Management etc.

Akash holds a holds Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Hons) from Delhi University and is also a Chartered Accountant from ICAI, Delhi. While working with YES Bank he also attended a Mini MBA – Business Essentials Program in 2011 conducted by Centre of Management Development, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
